He is searching for his missing British girlfriend, Sam Dean, in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.

Although Josh is living his best life in Glendale, California, he navigates a post-apocalyptic world full of zombies and "Mad Max"-style gangs. Max is joined by a group of misfits, Angelica and his former bully Wesley as he strives to find his lost love and the girl of his dreams. They'll face many weird things along the journey. Many unexpected twists take place during the series. We will leave you to watch it and discover the end result as we don't want to spoil the story for you. Brad Peyton and Aron Eli Coleite, who are the creator of the series, brought their vision to reality in the form of a series. Daybreak is based on a comic series by Brian Ralph. The main protagonist of the series, Josh Wheeler, is played by Colin Ford.
