As far as her occupation is concerned, her work is that of a dishwasher as well as serving as a scullery maid to the Chef, who is her boss. You see, a prince was in love with Cinderella, and similarly, Bridget has an eye for the prince. Well, it is rather a king in her case. Yes, that is right, Bridget fancies the king, Gristle Jr himself. She is totally mad in love with him. She does not care how hideous or ugly he might look, as her love for him sees through all that. Despite the efforts of her friends, mainly Queen Poppy, to talk her into letting go of her feelings for King Gristle, she remains unfazed. Her friends tried their best to convince her of his ugliness as well as his bad character, but Bridget remained firm in her stance. She was not to be convinced otherwise and kept on loving him the same as before.

However, the concern was not from Bridget’s side, but it was rather from Gristle’s side. Bridget did not know how to tell Gristle of her feelings and was not sure if she had the courage to tell him in the first place. Above all, she was quite concerned with the fact whether Gristle would mutually return her feelings and feel the same way about her or reject her love for him instead. Naturally, with so much hesitation, Bridget decided to sit tight and stay quiet for a while. However, what we do know is that once Gristle comes to learn that Lady Glittersparkles is Bridget, he becomes a complete man. It was as if the purpose of his life was fulfilled, and he had found his true happiness, the one he had been craving and longing for so long. Gristle must have heard the rumors flying around about Lady Glittersparkles being in love with him. And just like Bridget, Gristle also loves her, and upon meeting her, he realizes that he does not have to eat Trolls to be happy anymore. To make Bridget his for once and for all, Gristle proposed to her. The two got married after a while and became a happy married couple.

Becoming Friends With Poppy

Bridget is a Bergen, and it is not in the nature of a Bergen to be so friendly, especially with a Troll, who they feast on. But as we said above, Bridget is unlike any other Bergen out there. She has got a soft side to her that almost all of the Bergens do not. We do not have any record whatsoever of her feasting on a Troll just for the purpose of feeling happiness. Bridget, however, looks for other ways to be a happy soul. She takes a liking to being kind to those around her, as that is what makes her happy. She learned of this true happiness when she came across a troll named Queen Poppy. Queen Poppy and her charming ways instantly made a strong impression on her. Bridget was quite touched by the cheerful behavior of Poppy, as that is what she herself is like.

By being so similar to one another in many ways and sharing common personality traits, the two would soon develop an understanding. They would then become good friends. In many ways, Poppy helped Bridget assert her faith in humanity as she proved that there are things far greater than being a mean Begren who eats others for happiness. Not that Bridget was like those Bergens, but she also killed off any chance in which Bridget would become like those other Bergens in the future. Poppy also introduced Bridget to her world and showed her the ways of Trolls. Bridget has never seen or known this side of Trolls before. Similarly, the Trolls never knew that not all Bergens are mean and vicious. Even if Bridget is an exception, she proved to Trolls that not all apples are bad and that there is a sight of hope even in the darkest of times.

The Impact of Bridget’s Friendship with Poppy

Bridget helped change Troll’s perspective of Bergens. Before meeting her, they thought that all Bergens were Troll eaters. But upon meeting her, they came to a realization that is not the case. After coming to know the kind-hearted soft nature that Bridget possesses, the Trolls understand that they were under the influence of hatred all along. The Trolls made the decision to let go of their ill will towards Bergen. They decided they would be willing to consider and form any kind of pact with the Bergens if it was offered to them. The Trolls have put their proposal of a mutual acquaintance on the table, and now it is all on the Bergens. If the Bergens were down to make peace with Trolls, then the world would become a much more peaceful and happier place. Soon this would turn out to be the case.

The idea of a shared peace would become a reality. King Gristle’s consent and approval of forming a treaty with the Trolls enabled the two parties to live peacefully together. They coexisted without causing the other one harm. It would be later known that it was King Gristle’s love for Bridget that made it happen. And it was Bridget herself who played a major role in convincing Gristle to change his ways of oppressing the Trolls. It also ended the tyranny that the Trolls were on the receiving end of. The love and respect that husband and wife have for one another made it possible. But we have to say the friendship of Bridget and Poppy was just as crucial for making all of this happen. All the peace and good vibes are to be credited to the friendship of Bridget and Poppy, which changed the world for the better.

Other Bergens do not find her that attractive due to her short height, with the exception of King Gristle, who loves her for how she looks.
