The Electric State (2025) is a science fiction adventure movie that was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The story is set in a future version of the 1990s. A teenage girl named Michelle (played by Millie Bobby Brown) is followed. Her parents were lost, and now she travels across the American West to find her younger brother.
During her journey, she is joined by a helpful robot and a kind but strange man named Keats (played by Chris Pratt). Many dangers are faced by them in a world where robots were once part of human life. After a failed robot uprising, they are now kept away from people.
Big ideas like identity, loss, and human-robot friendship are shown in the movie. Michelle’s trip is filled with emotions. Her brother is searched for, but she also tries to learn more about herself in a world that has changed. Cool effects and a futuristic look are used in the film. But mixed reviews were received. Some viewers were impressed by the movie’s ideas, while others felt that the emotions were not strong enough.
